The Eardley Norton Clock- By Laurie Penman.

This video features a clock with a three-barrel fusee, musical bracket, and it dates from the last half of the 18th century. Eardley Norton made several large bracket clocks of this quality (its number is 2255) but that does not mean he made over two thousand of them. A clock similar to this is in the Queen's collection, another is in Russia and one or two in America. This particular one belongs to Mrs. constance Stellas, who in return for our restoring the movement, kindly allowed us to video the process. Important clocks like this, are not simply dismantled, cleaned and put into working condition, but every part is, so far as is possible, brought back to its original condition without destroying the evidence of age. This double video/DVD set details what was required to restore the clock. We hope you will enjoy and profit from watching the various processes that the restoration of the clock passes through, and in particular, enjoy studying the quality of the original work from Eardley Norton's workshop. 2 hours, 45 minutes

The Jacot Lathe- By Ron DeCorte (DVD).

During the course of many years I've never been asked more questions, nor heard more swearing, about a particular tool than the Jacot Lathe (Jacot Tool). But the benefits of the Jacot Lathe are so numerous that AWCI and I decided to make an instructional video that will answer all the questions and eliminate the swearing. One of, if not the most common problem with the Jacot Lathe is purchasing a lathe that has been damaged, not original, or is worn out (similar to buying a car that has been smashed and not repaired correctly, or that has been used more than indicated). So the first step is to show you how to select and purchase a Jacot Lathe that is in proper working condition. Now, maybe you've fallen in love with a Jacot Lathe and made the purchase. Or, maybe you already own one... At this point we will show you the proper way to use your lathe, sharpen your tools, correct minor imperfections, and make perfect pivots. Understanding any tool is the most important aspect of using it correctly. This video covers the Jacot Lathe from A-Z.
